Teaharvest: Aged White Tea Cake

The tiniest sip of tea will infuse your life (and quarantine) with happiness

Aged white tea - can you beat it?

Although a 2019 spring harvest isn't very aged (most white teas are aged 5-6 years, while rare ones can be aged for 10-20 years) I couldn't resist trying a new #whitetea as it is one of my favorite kinds of tea because of its soft (but delicious) flavors.

The instructions on the tea said the first brew should last at least 2 minutes, but I usually do a much shorter brew than this at first. In my first sips, the tea reminded me of #greentea, with a #vegetal taste.

However, subsequent, longer brews developed the tea better, creating deep #golden liquor and a creamier, more delicate sweet flavor that you associate with white tea.

As with nearly all white teas its definitely one I would drink again!
