Review: "Things I'm Seeing Without You" by Peter Bognanni
Have you ever fallen in love? Do you talk to that person every day? Tell them your hopes and fears? Tell them what you are doing? But what if you've only met that person once? What is it to know someone?

Synopsis:
Tess has dropped out of school. She has barely held it together since the death of a boy she messaged countless times a day about anything and everything; who saw the world the same way she did.
The boy she loved, who said he loved her, and whose suicide she never saw coming.
Jonah, who wasn't who she thought he was.

Overview:
Tess was at a party when she had a few too many drinks and met a boy, Jonah. They exchanged emails, and over the next few months the two chatted more and more regularly.
That was until Jonah stopped replying, and his Facebook page turned into a memorial...
Days later however, Tess gets a message from Jonah - but how can this be? He is dead.
Bognanni's book follows Tess as she comes with the loss of Jonah. He explores her grief and the excellent writing really allows you to feel the pain she goes with as she deals with Jonah's death and the new revelations.
The story takes you on Tess's emotional rollercoaster and what she goes through as she seeks closure, wraps her head around the truth, and does her best to find a way to honour the boy she thought she knew.

Overall:
The premise of this book is fantastic! With so many people on social media, able to talk to strangers, and fall in love with people they only know through a screen...it raises the question of how much can you know someone you only talk to through a screen.
Although the story took a very different turn to what I expected (I had imagined when Jonah told her he was still alive his suicide was fake and there was some story in that) it was a really good read!
The story takes you through heart break 💔 and is really well written so you can follow Tess's emotions.
